around this issue The only real solution I know is to write a small program which converts a file into a C++ definition of a string variable containing it. This is fairly simple to write: output a simple header along the lines of:
code :
char const variableName[] =

will help you You cannot treat a part of a file like you wish to.
You can use heredoc syntax for now, like this :
code :
$data = <<<END
...
END;
$data = file_get_contents ( $filename );

seems to work fine I'm looking for an example demonstrating how to insert the contents of a file and wrap the contents in a pre tag -- e.g.,
 insert.txt
. The usage will be to insert code snippets. , You can try to simply add the
 tags through javascript:
code :
document.write('<pre>');
document.write(ajaxRq.responseText);
document.write('</pre>');

hope this fix your issue
The text that I want to include is a few hundred lines of HTML which is too much for me to insert directly into my C# code. I had a suggestion to create a .txt file, embed this in my assembly, and read with Assembly.GetManifestResourceStream.
code :
var assembly = typeof(SomeClassFromTheAssemblyThatContainsTheHTML).Assembly;
using (var stream = assembly.GetManifestResourceStream("YourProjectName.emailBody.html"))
using (var reader = new StreamReader(stream))
{
    string body = reader.ReadToEnd();
    await UserManager.SendEmailAsync(2, "Confirm your account", body);
}
