Using ServiceStack.Redis, how can I run strongly-typed read-only queries in a transaction

Using ServiceStack.Redis, how can I run strongly-typed read-only queries in a transaction

Hope that helps You cannot do any dependent reads (operations relying on other read values) within a Redis transaction since the way that transactions work in Redis is that they all commands get batched and sent down to redis and executed as a single unit, so there's no opportunity to use a read value from within the same transaction.
The way you can ensure integrity is to use the Redis WATCH command to watch any keys before a transaction and if any of keys changed before the transaction it will throw when the transaction is committed. e.g:
code :
var cacheClient = new RedisClient();

cacheClient.Watch("Users", "Groups");

var userHash = cacheClient.As<User>().GetHash<string>("Users");
var groupHash = cacheClient.As<Group>.GetHash<string>("Groups");

using (var trans = cacheClient.CreateTransaction())
{
    trans.QueueCommand(x =>
    {
        user = x.As<User>().GetValueFromHash(userHash, userKey);
    });

    trans.QueueCommand(y =>
    {
        group = y.As<Group>().GetValueFromHash(groupHash, groupKey);
    });

    trans.Commit();
}

I wish did fix the issue. This was a simple issue, if someone else comes across it maybe this will help them. I didn't have the properties on the class declared as properties with get; set;
code :
public class RolePermission {

public int id { get; set; }

public bool permission_value { get; set; }

public string name { get; set; }

}

Any of those help Closest thing to an answer I have found however this means that I have to pass in the type rather than be able to access it through the dictionary as I was wanting above:
code :
public void GetAndStoreIntKey<T>(string tableName) where T : IHasId<int>
    {
        var dbCon = dbConnectionFactory.OpenDbConnection();
        String sql = "USE ibet SELECT * FROM " + tableName;
        var items = dbCon.SqlList<T>(sql);
        var typedRedisClient = redis.As<T>();

        foreach (T item in items)
        {
            typedRedisClient.SetEntry(UrnId.CreateWithParts<T>(new string[] {item.Id + ""}), item);
        }
    }
 GetAndStoreIntKey<Sport>("Sport");

hope this fix your issue ServiceStack's JSON Serializer by default only serializes public properties not fields. You can either change your fields to properties, e.g:
code :
class TwoInts
{
    public int Int1 { get; set; }
    public int Int2 { get; set; }
}
JsConfig.IncludePublicFields = true;

Any of those help ToOptimizedResultUsingCache returns a CompressedResult on subsequent calls because it's returning the cached compressed bytes of the format (e.g. json) being requested.
This should be a transparent implementation detail for your clients which just receive a cached version of your Service. When using ToOptimizedResult* APIs your Service needs to be able to return a Cached response so you'll need to change the return type to object, e.g:
code :
public object Get(FindItems request)
{
    return Request.ToOptimizedResultUsingCache(base.Cache,cacheKey,()=>
    {
        return new FindItemResponse { ... }
    });
}
public class FindItems : IReturn<FindItemResponse> {}
[CacheResponse(Duration = 60)]
public FindItemResponse Get(FindItems request)
{
    return new FindItemResponse { ... }
}

wish of those help Most clients require you to provide the query as a string. You can use an IDE like GraphiQL, GraphQL Playground or Altair to provide features like autocompletion and syntax highlighting when writing your query. Certain editors also have plugins that offer similar functionality. If you're using TypeScript, you can typically use something like GraphQL Code Generator or Apollo CLI to then generate the types based on your queries and your schema.
The only client I'm aware of that is generated from your schema, allowing you to use a fluent API instead, is GraphQL Zeus.
