I wish did fix the issue.
Working fine code tested by me You did a mistake in escape characters in embed
code :
<html>
<head>
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">

function Sound(surl) {
alert("working");<!-- this will ensure function is called successfully-->

document.getElementById("myspan").innerHTML=
"<embed src=\""+surl+"\" hidden=\"true\" autostart=\"true\" loop=\"false\" />";
}
</script>

</head>
<body>
<span id="myspan"></span>
<form>
<img src="imag.jpg" onMouseOver="Sound('success.wav')" />
</form>
</span>
</body>
</html>

help you fix your problem If you want something to be executed AFTER the "fadeTo", you just need to use the callback function:
code :
$("div").delay(1000).fadeTo("2000", 1, function() {
     //code for sound execution here
  });
});

hope this fix your issue After having a quick browse of the TideSDK docs it seems as though you can do something like this:
code :
function playSound(soundFilePath){
        var s = Ti.Media.createSound(soundFilePath);
        s.play();
        s.onComplete(function(){
           alert("sound finished");
        });
}
Add event listener that changes / removes class when sound is done playing

fixed the issue. Will look into that further You can achieve it with the help of current Time and duration properties of the audio object. You should set an interval(with the help of setInterval() function) with a low delay to check if those 2 properties are identical. When they will become identical it will mean that the audio track reached its end. Keep in mind to clear intervals when you will need to.
code :
var interval;
function EvalSound(key) {

    if(currentKey !== key)
        thissound.src = "http://99centbeats.com/beats/" + key + ".mp3";
    currentKey = key;

    if (thissound.paused) {
        thissound.play();
        interval = setInterval(function() {
            if(thissound.currentTime == thissound.duration) {
                clearInterval(interval);
                console.log('Sound played!');
            }
        },100);
    } else {
        thissound.pause();
        thissound.currentTime = 0;
        currentPlayer = thissound;
        clearInterval(interval);
    }
}

This might help you There is no need to include the audio tags. Instead you can just say in javascript what audio you want to play.
code :
function myPlay(){
    var audio = new Audio("sample.mp3");
    audio.play();
}
