will be helpful for those in need Remove prop.addContent(prop)
following code block creates a clone of root element and detaches it.
code :
org.jdom2.Document doc = new SAXBuilder().build(xmlFile);
Element root = doc.getRootElement().clone();
root.detach();

This might help you You need to search node from the document object, set/modify text/name and save it.
code :
 ElementFilter filter=new org.jdom2.filter.ElementFilter("not-in-stock");
 Element searchElement=null;
 for(Element c:root.getDescendants(filter))
 {
   searchElement=c;
   break;
 }
 if(searchElement!=null){
     searchElement.setName("NewName");
     searchElement.setText("Something is diff");
     XMLOutputter output=new XMLOutputter();
     output.output(doc, new FileOutputStream(file));
 }

hope this fix your issue There are potentially multiple ways to do this. One of which is using XPaths, but perhaps it's just simpler to use a descendants iterator and a StringBuilder, and a check on the ancestry of each text node....
For example (and I'm typing in by hand, not validating this...):
code :
public String getTitleText(final Element title) {
    final StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder();
    for (final Text txt : title.getDescendants(Filters.text())) {
        final Element parent = txt.getParentElement();
        if (parent == title ||
                parent.getAttributeValue("active", "not").equals("true")) {
            sb.append(txt.getValue());
        }
    }
    return sb.toString();
}

Hope that helps The original script did not provide the means to load the logs from localStorage, and stored new input under the "logs" key, while the intent was to prepend. The solution is quite simple: load from localStorage on page load, and overwrite localStorage['logs'] with the contents of logContents as displayed on the page.
code :
....

window.onload = function(){
    existing_log = localStorage.getItem("logs");
    console.log(existing_log);
    if (existing_log){document.getElementById("logContent").innerHTML = existing_log;}
}

function enterPressed() {
    if (textBox.value == "") {
        return;
    }
    else {
        var logText = today + ":" + " " + document.getElementById("textBox").value + '<br>\n';
        $("#logContent").prepend(logText); // Prepend textBox's content to the top of "logContent".
        textBox.value = ""; // To clear the textBox after enter is pressed.
        localStorage.setItem("logs", document.getElementById("logContent").innerHTML);
    }
}

hop of those help? Comments are considered to be an identifiable part of an XML document, along with the more obvious things like Elements. Other content to be aware of are Processing Instructions, Text, and Entity References.
When you call getContent on the rssChild Element, you get the Comment content, and it's value is the text inside that content.
code :
List<Element> rssChildren = rss.getChildren();
// getElement(rssChildren);
for (int i = 0; i < rssChildren.size(); i++) {
    Element rssChild = rssChildren.get(i);
    System.out.println(rssChild.getName());// prints 'title' and 'link'
    List<Content> rssContents = rssChild.getContent();
    for (int j = 0; j < rssContents.size(); j++) {
        Content content = rssContents.get(j);
        System.out.println(content.getValue());
    }
}
for (Element rssChild : rss.getChildren()) {
    System.out.println(rssChild.getName());// prints 'title' and 'link'
    for (Element subRss : rssChild.getChildren()) {
        System.out.println(subRss.getValue());
    }
}

To fix this issue You just need to detach() the element from its parent before you insert it in another document.
