may help you . From what I understand Bower uses npm and as such you can use Nodejitsu.
Support for npm repositories is also a requested feature for Nexus. If you are interested in that, vote on the issue and you might see it implemented in the not too distant future ;-)

help you fix your problem I am wondering if there is an easy way, ie like a simple cron job, to regularly pull from a remote git repository to a local read only mirror for backup purposes? , First create a mirror with
code :
git clone --mirror git@somewhere.com:repo.git
*/1 * * * * gitbackup cd /backup/repo.git && git fetch -q --tags

wish help you to fix your issue I've answered something very close to this some hours ago: bower install take repo, not specific files in main
You cannot install just "some" files from a repo. That's not how Bower works - it will always download all files from the tag/branch.

help you fix your problem First, you need to make sure your default pushing policy is set to matching, in order to push all local branches to their respective matching upstream branches.
code :
git push project-community # will push all matching branches

This might help you C is possibly a transitive dependency (linked package) of A or B so it is not being added explicitly.
When downloading dependencies, Bower will resolve C as part of resolving A or B.

To fix the issue you can do To automatically carry out actions after a push was performed on a repository the post-receive hook can be used. It will be called once the entire pushing process is finished.
You can push to the other server by simply using a standard git push with the --mirror [1] option in there:
code :
git push --mirror git@example.com:mirror.git
Instead of naming each ref to push, specifies that all refs under
refs/ (which includes but is not limited to refs/heads/,
refs/remotes/, and refs/tags/) be mirrored to the remote
repository. Newly created local refs will be pushed to the remote
end, locally updated refs will be force updated on the remote end,
and deleted refs will be removed from the remote end. This is the
default if the configuration option remote.<remote>.mirror is set.
