hope this fix your issue Use the groupBy function like this:
code :
var modelgroups = _.groupBy(this.collection.models, "gp_location");
_.each(modelgroups, function(group, name) {
    var $group = $("<optgroup>", {label:name});
    _.each(group, function(base) {
        $group.append(new BaseListItemView({model: base}).render().el)
    });
    this.$el.append($group);
});

it should still fix some issue I have simple table in database where are columns error_id, error_group_id and message. I want to show listing in UI which shows Message and occurrences of each error group. , You can add a COUNT in your current query:
code :
SELECT message, error_group_id, cnt
  FROM (SELECT error_id,
               message,
               error_group_id,
               rank() OVER (PARTITION BY error_group_id ORDER BY error_id) rank,
               count(*) OVER (PARTITION BY error_group_id) cnt
          FROM cc_errors)
 WHERE rank <= 1;
How do I determine if a group of data exists in a table, given the data that should appear in the group's rows?

hop of those help? This is a set-within-sets query. I like to solve it using group by and having:
code :
select groupid
from GroupValues gv
group by groupid
having sum(case when value = 'a' then 1 else 0 end) > 0 and
       sum(case when value = 'b' then 1 else 0 end) > 0 and
       sum(case when value = 'c' then 1 else 0 end) > 0 and
       sum(case when value not in ('a', 'b', 'c') then 1 else - end) = 0;
with thelist as (
      select 'a' as value union all
      select 'b' union all
      select 'c'
     )
select groupid
from GroupValues gv left outer join
     thelist
     on gv.value = thelist.value
group by groupid
having count(distinct gv.value) = (select count(*) from thelist) and
       count(distinct (case when gv.value = thelist.value then gv.value end)) = count(distinct gv.value);
select data group by distinct date and get first and last data in the group

I wish this helpful for you If you mean that you want to group by shopper and then lead Choice, filling with zeros, with dplyr,
code :
library(dplyr)

df %>% group_by(Shopper) %>% mutate(choice2 = lead(as.character(Choice), default = '0'))
## Source: local data frame [8 x 4]
## Groups: Shopper [4]
##
##     Day Shopper Choice choice2
##   <int>  <fctr> <fctr>   <chr>
## 1     1       A  apple   apple
## 2     2       A  apple       0
## 3     1       B Banana       0
## 4     1       C  apple  Banana
## 5     2       C Banana   apple
## 6     3       C  apple       0
## 7     1       D  berry   berry
## 8     2       D  berry       0
library(data.table)

setDT(df)[, choice2 := shift(as.character(Choice), type = 'lead', fill = '0') , by = Shopper][]
##    Day Shopper Choice choice2
## 1:   1       A  apple   apple
## 2:   2       A  apple       0
## 3:   1       B Banana       0
## 4:   1       C  apple  Banana
## 5:   2       C Banana   apple
## 6:   3       C  apple       0
## 7:   1       D  berry   berry
## 8:   2       D  berry       0
df$choice2 <- ave(as.character(df$Choice), df$Shopper, FUN = function(x){c(x[-1], '0')})
df
##   Day Shopper Choice choice2
## 1   1       A  apple   apple
## 2   2       A  apple       0
## 3   1       B Banana       0
## 4   1       C  apple  Banana
## 5   2       C Banana   apple

will help you I am working with some cluster analysis results. I am trying to create tables of cluster members for each the cluster analyses I'm doing.
code :
test_data <- data.frame(
       Cluster = sample(1:5,100,replace=T),
          Item = sample(LETTERS[1:20],5, replace=T),stringsAsFactors = FALSE)

m <- with(test_data,tapply(Item,paste("Cluster",Cluster,sep="_"),I))
e <- data.frame(sapply(m,`length<-`,max(lengths(m))))
   print(e,na.print="")
