wish of those help The table rows are set to display: table-row; by default, so switching to inline will ruin the formatting. Replace inline with table-row.

To fix the issue you can do In the Meteor docs, in the session.equal you can see what to do when you click the desired post.
Adding the class selected to your post on the left would give a clue what post is current selected.
code :
<template name="postItem">
  <div class="{{postClass}}">{{title}}</div>

Template.postItem.postClass = function() {
   return Session.equals("selectedPost", this._id) ?
      "selected" : "";

it should still fix some issue As I was writing up this question, I figured out what the issue was. The element needed to be display:table. With the CSS initially set to display:none, .show() had no indication that it needed to be returned to display:table and instead was displaying it as display:block. This is why the display:table formatting border-spacing was not working: it doesn't work with display:block.
The easiest solution I came up with was not using .show() at all but instead creating a new table_hidden class with display:none and then using .removeClass() and .addClass() to effect the show/hide. Here's a fiddle.
Is it possible to utilize the `display:none` and `display:inline` to unhide nested hidden element?

wish help you to fix your issue I can inject CSS into the following code to affect the classes: , You can play with the font-size, e.g.
code :
li { font-size: 0; }
li span { font-size: 1rem; }
li span:before { content:"to replace Thycotic Secret Server "; }

should help you out The fixed element was somehow screwing webkit's rendering, so I turn the element to position: absolute and on the scroll event I update the top value so it looks like its fixed. It's not pretty but it works.
Does a hidden/transparent element impact rendering performance?

hope this fix your issue TL;DR:
In general, a rendered element affects page performance when changes to it trigger repaint on subsequent elements in DOM or when it triggers resize on its parent(s), as resize can get expensive from being fired up to 100 times/second, depending on device.
code :
`opacity` average: 110.71340000000076ms | count: 100
`display` average: 155.47145000000017ms | count: 100
$(window).on('load', function () {
  let displayAvg = 0, displayCount = 0,
      opacityAvg = 0, opacityCount = 0;
  for (let i = 0; i < 10000; i++) {
    $('body').append($('<div />', {
      class: 'modal',
      html:'10k &times; modal instances'
    .on('click', '#display', function () {
      let t0 = performance.now();
      setTimeout(function () {
        let t1 = performance.now();
        displayAvg += (t1 - t0);
          '`display` toggle took ' +
          (t1 - t0) +
          'ms \n`display` average: ' +
          (displayAvg / ++displayCount) +
          'ms | count: ' +
    .on('click', '#opacity', function () {
      let t0 = performance.now();
      setTimeout(function () {
