will help you It is because an NSOperationQueue is not the main thread. What you're doing is illegal. And the sad thing is that there is no need for it! Just say:
code :
[NSURLConnection sendAsynchronousRequest:urlRequest
     queue:[NSOperationQueue mainQueue]
     completionHandler:^(NSURLResponse *response, NSData *data, NSError *error) {
        // ... and the rest exactly as you have it now

Hope this helps At first you should create label, then set formatted text to text property, and after this show on your view (self.view assumes you use it into UIViewController)
code :
UILabel * label = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(10, 10, 100, 30)];
[label setText:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"%f", a]];
[self.view addSubview:label];
[label release];

With these it helps As pointed out by @MidhunMP, the UI should always be updated from the main thread. The reason that it works in your second example is because you're dispatching the UI update on the main thread with dispatch_get_main_queue().
Updating from a non-main thread can have very unpredictable results, with anything from a crash, to an un-updated UI, to breaking your UI.

it helps some times You cannot set a value like this in the declaration section of the class.
Since you're working with a UIViewController, you'll want to go to the viewDidLoad() method and put self.Food.text = "Burger" there.
code :
import UIKit

class TestViewController: UIViewController {

    @IBOutlet weak var Food: UILabel!

    override func viewDidLoad() {
        super.viewDidLoad()

        self.Food.text = "Burger"
    }
}

this one helps. I apologize, it was staring me in the face for several hours and I didn't realize it. In the didSet block I had hidden the labels if they weren't supposed to be used, like this:
code :
if(cellQuestion.theResponses[2] == nil) {
    switch3.isHidden = true
    switchLabel3.isHidden = true
} else {
    switch3.isHidden = false
    switchLabel3.text = cellQuestion.theResponses[2]
}

Does that help A sed-only solution is easier if you have the GNU version with an e command.
That said, here's a quick, simplistic, and kinda clumsy version I knocked out that doesn't bother to check the values of previous or following lines - it just assumes your format is good, and bulls through without any looping or anything else. Still, for my example code, it worked.
code :
$: cat a
#! /bin/bash
echo "Hello, World!"

$: cat b
#! /bin/bash
echo "SCREW YOU!!!!"

$: cat x
```
$ cat a
foo
   bar
" b a z ! "
```
```
$ cat b
foo
   bar
" b a z ! "
```
$: cat s
#! /bin/env bash

sed -En '

 /^```$/,/^```$/ {

  # for the lines starting with the $ prompt
  /^[$] / {
    # save the command to the hold space
    x
    # write the ``` header to the pattern space
    s/.*/```/
    # print the fabricated header
    p
    # swap the command back in
    x
    # the next line should be blank - add it to the current pattern space
    N
    # first print the line of code as-is with the (assumed) following blank line
    p
    # scrub the $ (prompt) off the command
    s/^[$] //
    # execute the command - store the output into the pattern space
    e
    # print the output
    p
    # put the markdown footer back
    s/.*/```/
    # and print that
    p
  }

  # for the (to be discarded) existing lines of "content"
  /^[^`$]/d

}
' $*
$: s x
```
$ cat a
#! /bin/bash
echo "Hello, World!"
```
```
$ cat b
#! /bin/bash
echo "SCREW YOU!!!!"
```
