this will help Step-1: Add markers in the map after getting their respective location points with custom marker icons. Something like below
code :
var iconBase = 'https://maps.google.com/mapfiles/kml/shapes/';
var marker = new google.maps.Marker({
  position: myLatLng,
  map: map,
  icon: iconBase + 'schools_maps.png'
});
google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'click', function() {

    // Show popup screen here based on marker parameter.
  });

How to refresh gmap markers in primefaces p:gmap after updating the gmap with new markers

To fix this issue The DefaultMapModel of the gmap (referenced from 'model' attribute in p:gmap element) has no proper functionality to clear, unlike other Model objects, like e.g. the EventModel of p:schedule.
IF you provide that object from a SessionScoped controller, even if you recreate that object from scratch, the p:gmap for some reason is keeping reference to the first mapModel that was provided. Practically this means that all new/updated mapmodel objects are not being used, except the first one.

wish helps you So you mentioned you run separate threads to add the markers and routes. This can result in threading issues. The UI thread tries to draw your markers and therefore iterates over the lists of markers. When another thread adds a marker to the collection of markers that are being currently drawn, then the iterator becomes invalid, hence the exception is thrown.
The solution: Make sure the adding of the markers happens in an UI synchronized manner.
