Using class methods and variables after deleting class

Using class methods and variables after deleting class

this one helps. del doesn't mean "destroy this thing". It means "unassign this variable". Other references to the object the variable referred to are unaffected, and as long as the object is reachable through some chain of references, it won't be destroyed.
When you execute
code :
del Name

may help you . Regarding a "standard" for class variables, no such standard exists. Reference classes are a new feature to R, and to the extent that some aspect of OO isn't documented in the official documentation on reference classes, it's safe to assume that it hasn't yet been standardized.
As for whether such a standard might appear, I doubt it. Class variables are really just volatile globals in a pseudo-namespace, and relying on external state generally isn't the R way of doing things. The existence of reference classes is already a pretty big concession against this to improve performance.

will be helpful for those in need Do you know how to define @@method_names class variable so that both my_macro and invoke_methods can use it as intended? Thank you! , Here's a working version. Changes are commented:
code :
module MyModule
    module ClassMethods
        @@method_names ||= [] #move this up here
        def my_macro method_name, options = { }
            define_method method_name do
                puts "defining #{method_name} with #{options}"
            end
            @@method_names << method_name
        end

        #added this (rename as required)
        def the_methods
          @@method_names
        end
    end

    def invoke_methods
        #changed this call
        self.class.the_methods.each { |method_name| send method_name }
    end

    def self.included includer
        includer.extend ClassMethods
    end
end

class MyClass
    include MyModule
    my_macro :method_foo, :bar => 5
    my_macro :method_baz, :wee => [3,4]
end

MyClass.new.invoke_methods
How do I access the methods and Global variables of outer class from an inner class object, and if I cannot what is purp

I wish this help you Code inside the inner class can reference the stuff in the outer class.
For this toy example:
code :
public class StaticAndInnerClasses {
    String testString;
    class InnerClass{
        int x;
        int y;

        public void printString() {
            changeCharacter();
            System.out.println(testString);
        }
    }

    static class InnerStaticClass{
        int a=10;
        int b=20;

    }
    public void changeCharacter(){
        testString="Characters modified";
    }

    public static void main(String[] args){
        StaticAndInnerClasses.InnerStaticClass statciClassObject=new StaticAndInnerClasses.InnerStaticClass();
        StaticAndInnerClasses outerObject=new StaticAndInnerClasses();
        StaticAndInnerClasses.InnerClass innerClassObject=outerObject.new InnerClass();
        innerClassObject.printString();

    }
}
innerClassObject.changeCharacter();

wish help you to fix your issue Within methods, you can access class attributes in two different ways:
code :
MyClass.counter
self.counter
self.counter += 1
class MyClass(object):
    counter = 0

    def __init__(self):
        MyClass.counter += 1

    def printCount(self):
        # these both work:
        print self.counter
        print MyClass.counter
Python - should class attributes be passed to class methods as local variables?

will be helpful for those in need OK, I get it now. to David for his comments.
In the book I have been reading on classes, it says class methods need to have self added, but it doesn't explain why. When I saw references in the method referring to self.a or self.b, I assumed it was making references directly to the instance namespace, because I hadn't thought about the implications of passing an object called self to the method. So the references to the object are passed into the local namespace, and the method is making local references, which is consistent with the behavior of functions in the global namespace.
