Any of those help The way your code is written is correct (barring removal you've presumably made for conciseness)
When you import, Python checks sys.path for importing locations, and imports the first robot it can find.
code :
import robot
print robot.__file__
import sys
import robot

wish helps you It looks like you are asking for the name of the object in the calling scope. In python the name of an object is not part of the object, it is it's key in the current scope (i.e. in locals() or globals())
Could you find it. yes but it could have multiple names in that scope:
code :
next(key for key,val in globals().items() if val is x and not key.startswith('_'))

b = a
#do you want b or a as the name now?

code :
c = wmi.WMI('computer', user='domain\\user', password='pass')
result = c.query('SELECT * FROM CIM_DataFile WHERE Name = "C:\\path\to\file"')
for file in result:
    print file.Version
from datetime import datetime
last_modified = datetime(*wmi.to_time(file.LastModified)[:7])
print last_modified.strftime("%d/%m/%Y")

I hope this helps you . it supposes you have a key __class in you JSON string that holds target class name
code :
import json

class Jsonable(object):
    def from_json(cls, json_string):
        attributes = json.loads(json_string)
        if not isinstance(attributes, dict) or attributes.pop('__class') != cls.__name__:
            raise ValueError
        return cls(**attributes)

around this issue The name of a star should not be the name of the variable. Variable names should reflect the context in which the variable is used, e.g. destinationStar or homeStar.
A star's name should be a property of the Star object, accessed via Star.name:
